Martin Luther met with his students regularly in the local pub to talk about what the good news of Jesus Christ could mean for the world. In this same spirit, Bibles and Beer is an informal gathering which explores what the Bible could mean in our time. As Martin Luther once said, “It is better to think of church in the alehouse than to think of the alehouse in church.”
Bibles and Beer currently meets every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the basement. The group does not charge for refreshments, and a $5 donation is suggested to help cover the weekly cost.
